PMA is delighted to welcome back Debbie Catt, one of our most experienced PR tutors. She has spent the past few years as head of communications at the South East of England Development Agency and setting up the PR department for a large car supermarket. She has vast agency and in-house experience, and worked as a journalist for VNU (where she first met our chairman).
PMA tutor Debbie Catt has worked in publishing and PR, public sector and corporate, internal communications and in agencies. She is boundlessly enthusiastic about maintaining good clear communications. She is also an accomplished and amusing public speaker.
On the most rewarding aspect of conducting training, Debbie says: 'Using my experience over more than three decades to bring the theory to life is especially rewarding. Learning must have a practical application and when it can be illustrated with humour, it is lodged forever in the brain. Those who attend my training courses can experience some of the more dramatic situations without being exposed to the live risks and I am comforted that I can now pass on my experience and did not suffer the pains of trial and error in vain.'
